Anirnik Oshuitoq (1902-1983) Fabulous Geese
Anirnik grew up in many camps near Kimmirut (Lake Harbour, Nunvavut) and settled with her daughter, the artist Ningeeuga Oshuitoq, and her family in Kinngait, in the early 1960’s. It was during this period that Anirnik began to draw. Her compositions drew from the spirit world, and her work was represented almost annually in the Cape Dorset print collections.
