Niome Veevee is a textile artist born and raised in Panniqtuuq (Pangnirtung), NU. She studied at Attagoyuk school in Panniqtuuq. She primarily makes felt wallhangings. Although she occasionally produces rectangular pieces which hang from a tie at their top, Veevee more often makes stretchers and tethers her material to the frame with yarn, shaping it like a drying sealskin, as seen with this piece.
