Collection: Very Big Cat Studio

Very Big Cat Studio is comprised of artist sisters, Esra and Gül, who both have fine arts background. They enjoy illustration, mixed media art, embroidery, photography, collage and all kinds of creative processes involving hand crafts.

Gül has a textile arts degree and is now working as a Textile / Surface Designer in Toronto. Esra has a graphic arts degree, working as a graphic and interactive media designer, now living in the Netherlands. Both sisters adopt a curious and experimental approach to their craft, finding their greatest inspiration in nature and in architecture - and also from the creative process itself.

Their current collection on offer here in the Museum Shop is focused on cross-stitched and embroidered necklaces and pendants, as well as intricate felted items.
