This soft scarf features an original design by Inuk artist Anirnik Oshuitoq of Kinngait Studios.
Anirnik Oshuitoq (1902-1983) grew up in many camps near Kimmirut (Lake Harbour, Nunvavut) and settled with her daughter, the artist Ningeeuga Oshuitoq, and her family in Kinngait, in the early 1960’s. It was during this period that Anirnik began to draw. Her compositions drew from the spirit world, and her work was represented almost annually in the Cape Dorset print collections.
