Fanny Avatituq was born in Baker Lake in 1950. She works out of the Jessie Oonark Centre to create highly original, incredibly detailed, and densely embroidered pieces. Most of her work is sold locally, making this a very rare piece. Fanny was recently recognized in Inuit Art Quarterly as one of 30 Upcoming Artists to Know.
